 In a shocking move today, the REBELS coach stood on the flight deck of the USS Obi-Wan Kenobi and announced Mission Accomplished, following a dismal 0-2 start to the season. The REBELS coach gave a brief speech in which he announced that all major opposition to his victory had ended, and he was declaring full and total victory in the War on KOBOZ.

 Rebels took on the Sith in a rare mid-season exhibition game this week.
Both teams seamed to play with an intensity that would normally be reserved for a playoff game (or a blockbuster movie) and the fans on both sides of the ball were in for quite a showing by these to vicious rivals of the gridiron.
While tie-fighters and x-wings shrieked in combative dogfights above the 70,000 seat stadium on the neutral planet of Tatooine, the battle for the football field took place beneath in front of the cheering multi-planetary crowd.
Quarterback Skywalker lead the charge down the field in the first quarter only to be stopped at the Sith 47 yard line when a stray blaster-bolt from an overzealous fan in the stands struck the football in mid-flight causing the ball to veer off-course and fall incomplete. This ended the first drive and forced the Rebs to punt.

 After last years' dismal season, the Rebels have been determined to right the ship and become a contender for KOBOZ VII.
Desperately seeking a new image the Rebels have hired actor Kato Kaelin as an assistant coach. Kato, best known for his role in Baseketball, was excited to be part of the team, and immediately settled into the coaches' home. Kato's charisma is expected to boost the team's morale, which dropped to epic lows last year following a 3-game losing streak to start the season, and ended with a heartbreaking loss to their nemesis the Screaming Eagles.
